One wintry morning two weeks ago I was walking to my photography class, it was rather early. On my way from the station I passed a park where a fountain was showing off its tremendous power.
But that was not the part I liked best. The wind was blowing the water away, so that the spray floated over the pond. For me this scene had a touch of magic, as if any moment naiads could rise up from the pool. I even would not be surprised if Merlin had come out from behind the tree.
Well, I did not see the nymphs nor the wizard, but happily continued my walk because the moment had been special anyway.
Wonderful photo! Next time, I hope you catch sight of that nymph of wizard. Because you’re right…something magical was definitely happening.

Thank you, Laurie. Maybe I did not wait long enough or I should have come back at midnight. Well, like you said, next time…

Way to capture the moment!

Thanks, Charles. This morning I passed the fountain again, but the light was different and not nearly as interesting as last time. So yes, you just have to seize the moment.

I missed just such a moment a month ago with 10-12 beautiful white egrets standing and fishing in a shallow stream. Every time I go by that spot, I look to see if they are back. No luck so far.

I know exactly what you mean. There are some photos that I did not take and their image is indelibly printed in my memory. Such a shame that I cannot share them with you.
