Last Sunday we went for a walk on the other side of the island of Dordrecht. A hiking route of two hours takes you through the elongated wildlife area along the river.
Despite its relatively small surface it has all the attractions of the nearby natural park, like a huge variety of willows, reed, plants and flowers as well as birds. I especially love the light that changes with the time of the day and the season.
The constant factor is the river with its ever flowing stream that always has a calming effect on me. It has been there for ages and probably will continue to do so.
