Paint it red

The neighbourhood around the old Church of Our Lady keeps me busy. It is a very picturesque quarter and nice and quiet. So I like to stroll around, sit on a bench or on the stairs leading to the canal and take a photo or two (often more).

The windows of the small houses glued to the church that you can see in ‘Canal View‘ have wonderfully red shutters. The detail that caught my eye is the cute tulip letting in a tiny bit of light. I just had to immortalize them.

When I read about this week’s theme of 52 Weeks Photo Challenge: week 6 – Red hosted by The Girl That Dreams Awake, I knew this would be my contribution to the challenge. Go and have a look at her blog for more inspiring reds.
