Waiting for the guests

On festive occasions the University of Utrecht shares the cloister with the cathedral, the Dom, its neighbour.

This time it was used for a reception after the successful defense of a doctoral research. The cloister was the venue of the graduation party, who can think of a better place?

My sister and I were just taking photos in the small garden when preparations for the party were being made. This table was all set to receive the guests that we met on the way out.

My contribution for a new challenge announced by The Girl that Dreams Awake: 52 Weeks Photo Challenge. This first week the theme is Black and White.

  1. Thank you for this new challenge. Glad you like my first contribution. I was lucky to be there at that moment just before the guests arrived. Minutes later the place was crowded and it would have been difficult to take nice pictures. So again this time it was: seize the moment!
