A Dutch wedding reception

While in the garden of Villa Augustus the wedding ceremony was going on, I ventured into the Orangerie and captured this witness of a typical old fashioned Dutch wedding reception.

First you will get coffee or tea, the sugar and powdered milk are already laid out on the saucer. After that a refreshment is offered. The titbits that go with it here are peanuts, cheese crackers and pieces of cheese with mustard. Maybe they will later hand out several kinds of fried bites, like bitterballen. Of course, I was tempted to sneakily get me some peanuts, but in the end I resisted the temptation and took a photo instead.

So now you are prepared in case you find yourself invited to a wedding reception. My fun post for Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge.
