Q&A after screening of ‘Nice People’ in The Hague

Last weekend I went to see the Best of the Movies that Matter Festival, a series of films concerning human rights which means documentaries as well as fiction films.

The first movie was ‘Nice People‘, a moving film about Somalian refugees in a Swedish town who learned to play bandy, sort of ice hockey. The aim was to take part in the World Championship, some nine months later. Quite a challenge, because they had never skated before. But they made it! They also succeeded in the ulterior motive: integration into Swedish society.

After the screening of the film the public could talk to some of the protagonists. The photo shows the seatings they prepared for them.
